We’ll be exhibiting at the Music & Drama Education Expo 2025 – 30 & 31 January 2025 (Stand C14). Come meet us and share your musical plans.
Our friendly Open Up Music team members on the day will be Barry Farrimond-Chuong, inventor of the Clarion and CEO, and Open Orchestras programme manager Jonathan Westrup.
We’ll be set up so you can try playing the Clarion with head movement, as well as your hands.
The release of our Clarion Education programme from September 2024 is a major milestone for our charity. Finally, we can make the Clarion available outside of our Open Orchestras and National Open Youth Orchestra programmes. Tech development is complex and we can’t thank enough the Clarion players and funders who have supported us to get there.
Offering more accessible instruments alongside traditional instruments is key to engaging participants from under-represented groups. We know what can be achieved, and hope you can partner us in unlocking exciting new opportunities for self-expression for disabled and non-disabled pupils in you region, whether in a special school or mainstream setting, or a therapeutic environment.
This year, we’ll be working in partnership with 27 Music Hubs in 31 schools – join us and help us build a community of Clarion players across the UK. We’ll be happy to answer your questions about introducing the Clarion into your practice.
And for more information on the Clarion being the first digital instrument to be assessed by ABRSM, you can also find out more from our ABRSM partners on stand C42!
